Halloween Tea Party

Jackee called me up this morning to ask if I have plans for the day. Jette is paying her a visit in the afternoon and Cris and Ate Ping are home too, so we decided that it would be the best time to have our long overdue Tea Party.

We all thought it would just be a simple get together, though I asked the guests to wear something BLACK. Little did we know that the Hostess will surprise us with her complete set of cute tea pots and tea cups =)

But the party isn't over yet... no... no... not yet. We realized we have to face the truth that we needed to eat rice, hahaha! In short, kailangan namin lumamon =) So enough of the pa-tweetums party, this is the real thing. Feeling special guests in the show called SPOON (aired in Net25), one more pose and we're ready to lafang *wink*

Business is Business

After picking up some goodies with Jackee and another round of impromtu shopping (waaaaahhh... sabi ko nga magtitipid ako eh!) at Ortigas, I met up with Kuks at Trinoma. He's already been waiting for almost 30 minutes with a friend. Somebody is "sane enough" to respond to my Wanted Business Partner Ad, haha! =) See related post here. Kuks was teasing me about the way I look. I was wearing a white formal blouse and jeans... himala daw at hindi ako naka-shorts ;p Syempre naman... Business Meeting yata ito! *wink*

So we went straight to the vacant commercial space in Retiro and Dexter was kind enough to usher us in again. Complete with all the kwento and Marketing skills. Sabi nya pa, "Why return only now? The one in the middle is already taken" Hahaha!!! Basta... mapapa-smile din kayo kung ma-meet nyo sya. Hindi lang yun... baka ma-nose bleed pa! =)

a walk in the clouds...errr... Retiro

Last Tuesday, Kuks sent me an SMS about a vacant commercial space in Retiro. He gave me the contact number and asked me to inquire about it. I did inquire this morning, there were two (2) available slots. I asked for an appointment with the owner if we can go over and look at the space. He agreed. I was so excited :)

Kuks and I met after office at Malaya Street for the "ocular inspection". The owner instructed me to look for Dexter when we visit. So tonight, we met Dexter... the English speaking Security Guard of the Condo Units :) He ushered us inside the vacant commercial spaces. The middle space which is a thousand peso lower in terms of rent is bigger but has an irregular shape and there's no CR. The one on the right is rectangular, estimated to be 60sqm (as per the owner) and with CR. Dexter shared a lot of things and is very keen on convincing us to take the space. On the other hand, Kuks and I are still hesitant because of the rent... a whopping PXXk. Requirements are 2 months rent deposit, 1 month advance rent, P10k deposit for Meralco and P5k deposit for water bill. Whoa!!! So we just told Dexter that we'll discuss things and go back in case we decide to give in to the amount requested. Dumbidumbidum...

Kuks was really excited about the space, and he dreams that it would be our "Flagship Store". I am happy to hear his big plans. He wants to fit in 20++ computers, hahaha! Not to mention that he wants it all flatscreen LCD monitor... hmmn... parang ang dami nating pera :) Moveover Netopia!!! *wink*

We continued to walk in every streets of Retiro and La Loma, "benchmarking" on every Internet Shop that we come accross posing as customers looking for vacant spots, checking out their service list and computer units.

We ended up eating and discussing our plans over YUMburgers and French Fries. Hay... sarap mangarap :)

* Wanted BUSINESS PARTNERS, hahaha! ... interested parties holler at me! :)

a visit to the hospital and my boobtube

A very early SMS from Kuks woke me up saying he was sorry for acting weird last night. See... I was right, he was so drunk, he started a fight and decided to hang up the phone when he doesn't have any strength left for argument. Which left me tossing and turning in my bed, trying my best to cath some sleep. But I'm too upset and mad to have a decent one. Anyway, at least now he was sorry. He called me up before lunch and I tried to bring out the issue again but he just laughed it off. Kuks na Kuks. Still denying that he was too drunk to think straight. Anyway, he's on a self-declared holiday today kasi he wanted to rest daw. Asus... may hangover siguro pero ayaw pa din umamin! And as a peace offering... instead of staying home, we decided to visit Mels' Mom at St. Luke's.

We met up at the Hospital's lobby and proceeded to the waiting area at the ICU. But we can't find Mels. I was trying to call her mobile but she won't pick up my calls. So Kuks and I decided to eat meryenda na lang at Greenwich and just wait for Mels' reply... or worst come to worst... baka umuwi kami ng nde man lang sya nakita. After 48 years, nag-reply naman sya. She fell asleep pala. After eating, we went back to the ICU, and a tired Mels was already waiting near the stairs. Puzzled, she asked, "Rel, wala kang pasok!?!" Hay.. bru.. may sarili syang calendar of Holidays =) We stayed there for an hour lang siguro. Kasi there's no place to stay, naka-tayo lang kami outside ICU, nakasandal lang sa wall kasi madami ring mga relatives ng patients na andun. I was happy to see Mels. I know she is going through a lot. And I hope, in our own little way, we were able to show our support. Everything happened so fast. And it was a surprise na ma-ICU ung Mom nya. I mean, we were just talking the other day na mag-start na sila with the oral chemo so yung txt nya yesterday that her Mom was transferred to the ICU is a real shocker. I don't even know what to tell her. Paulit-ulit lang ako na "be strong, bru". I know how much this is affecting her and her family. Hay... sana her Mom will respond positively sa mga procedures and medications. Mahirap talaga magkasakit ='(

From St. Luke's, Kuks brought me home. He promised to set-up my new TV, yey!!! =) Hmmn.. successful naman ang pag-set up, but the thing is, I need to buy a TV antenna pala before we can use it. Toink! We thought may rabbit antenna na yun or something. Sana pala bumili na kami kanina 'di ba!?! =( So no DVD marathon tonight... boo...

Here's my new TV... hehe, nice noh!?! =) It comes with a DVD player and a matching TV rack.

A Frankenstein Tale With a Twist

Jackee and I left the house really early today to pick up "a lot" of goodies. Can you hear the stress on the words "a lot"? Basta... it's a whole lot as in we don't even know how to bring it all the way back to Nova. After that, our Business Partner, A.K.A Partner in Crime, picked us up and brought us to her house again where we had our lunch. Seems like this is already becoming a Saturday ritual, huh!?! Hmmn... it felt like it's the best Pinakbet and Porkchop I ever tasted. I think I had 2 servings of rice, as in PG mode, hahaha! The gulay never ever tasted this good, basta I can't explain it! Maniwala na lang kayo na talagang masarap.

After resting for a while, we went to Robinson's Galleria to watch the advance screening of "IGOR". We have 6 tickets for the said movie, thanks to Jackee's charms *wink* Chris, Jackee's BF joined our group... hay... too bad Kuks is in Cabiao so hindi kami nakapag-movie date :(

Since "IGOR" is an animated comedy, a lot of kids are present to watch that day. Hindi nga lang masyado exciting because there were no contests prepared before the movie was shown, as what is usually done during advance screenings. NO FREEBIES... boo... hehehe, nasanay! =) Anyway, Igor is a movie about a hunchback (actually, all huncbacks in Malaria are called Igor) who wanted to make a difference. Because during that time, if you're born with a hunchback, you are automatically subservient to some sort of crazy professor/mad scientist. So Igor waited for his chance to step into the limelight and this opportunity came when his boss is killed by one of his own experiments. Finally Igor and the creatures he's created -– the low-wattage Brain who's not nearly as intelligent as he believes himself to be (he misspelled his own name, scrawling Brian across his cranium in permanent marker) and Scamper, an indestructible rabbit with a death wish -– have their chance to compete in the annual Evil Science Fair. And Igor knows exactly what will earn him first place. He's been working all night secretly over the design of a gigantic evil woman and believes it'll be just the ticket to win first place. Igor created this Betty Boop like evil, she called Eva who turned out to have a dysfunctional evil bone and so everything that could go wrong goes wrong. But with the help of his friends, GOOD still triumphed over EVIL. It's likely much of the dialogue in Igor will fly well over the heads of kids, as the majority of the jokes are intended for adult audiences -– not that they're off-color. Igor is actually a light-hearted comedy that's surprisingly sweet. And the important thing is, we enjoyed it while munching popcorn.

We decided to have an early dinner after the movie, and while still deciding on where to eat... we spotted an LV bag that belongs to who else but MY POK, Alison. She's having meryenda with her BF, and it' my first time to meet him. Alison is already walking towards me when I saw her joking loudly, "Who's that Pok girl wearing shorts!!!" It's a small world after all, ain't it!?! Nice to see you POK at super naka-outfit ka na naman at sobrang na-insecure ang shorts ko, hahaha!!! =)

By the time Jackee and I got home, super pagod na ako and sleepy. But before I doze off to dreamland... I want to share this with you. It's my own IGOR which I created in the movie's official website.

a treat from UJIN

I had dinner and a glass or two of beer with friends last night at a bar in Marikina. Actually, muntik na akong hindi pumunta because of a slight topak, hahaha =) The boys have been planning about this beer marathon for weeks now. It's a celebration for Ujin's promotion as Senior Software Engineer in Accenture (heavy-gat!!!). So yesterday morning, Kuks made the initiative to confirm the dinner and said beerfest. Since most of them will be coming from McKinley (island), I was left with no choice but to go straight to the venue... ALONE. At syempre nakakainis yun. The whole day I was contemplating whether to go or not. At 6pm, Kuks was already asking for my whereabouts and he was shocked to know I am still home and that I didn't want to go. He was upset and he knows na dumadaloy na naman ang TOYO ko. He thought I am all set to meet Boss Jun at GABC so I can ride with him. Well... ayoko mag-effort to go to GABC. With a heavy heart, I decided to go to Trinoma instead so I can pick up my Globe replacement sim. But God is really good. While I was stuck in traffic in North Avenue, Boss Jun called me up and told me he'll pick me up at Trinoma. Yihee... I'm such a BRAT ;p So I went to Marikina with Boss Jun and RV. We were the first batch to arrive, then Teddy came, then the Mckinley Islanders, then Pol Chong... and the beer flowed all night. Pero bottomless Iced tea na lang for me after one bottle of beer... hmmn... pa-GIRL! =)

Teddy is super kulit as usual to the point of sharing chismis with the boys and putting me on the "hot seat" about a certain issue with someone. Hahaha, I just laughed it off and gave them the Showbiz answer, "It's not true!" The boys are ready to grill me. Kuks is poking me on the side, asking me "Ano yun!?!" Hmmn... wala silang napala... my lips are sealed ;p
