ramil and rina

Yesterday I went to Tagaytay to witness the wedding ceremony of my good friend Rina and Ramil. I met up with Karen, Mike and Aiza at Mc Donald's North Ave at 6AM (yeah, that early...yawn). Who would have thought that I'd bumped into some old friends at Mc Do. I saw Reggie and his family having breakfast. He just got home from US (fresh from the airport). Too bad I was in a hurry so we had no time to exchange stories. But he made me libre my to go McDo breakfast ;-) Yey!!! We drove off to Tagaytay while having breakfast in the car. Our first stop is at Ali's house. We were teasing Ali that she look like "Bella Aldama". We shared crazy stories (and chismaks) as we dress up. Aiz and Ali are busy as they put on some make-up, I'm minding my curls, Mike is having a chit-chat with Mamita, and Karen... Karen got trapped in the CR, hahaha!!! Good thing the ever reliable Mac-Mac was able to rescue her just like in the action movies. Imagine Mac-Mac climbing the wall, trying everything to dismantle the door knob and ending up dismantling the whole door. After all those dramas... we're now ready... for the PhotoOp ;-)

It was a very solemn wedding and the overflowing love of Ramil and Rina can also be felt by those who are witness as their new life together as ONE unfolds...

Here are some snapshots @ Chapel by the Hill.

We were seated at Table 14. Dimples and Ms. Chim (and Hubby) didn't join us in the reception, they left Chapel by the Hill after the ceremony. Ms. Gigi (with her niece) and Lia (with Hubby) are in the next table.

I almost forgot, Sam Milby, who happens to be Rina's cousin, graced the wedding together with Anne Curtis. Sam rendered 2 songs for the couple. Electricity went off in the middle of the first song =(

Karen, Mike and Mariel (with Hubby) went back to Manila after the group pics. The starlets were left to parteeaahhh, hahaha! *wink* So we took this great opportunity to unleash our JOLOGS side. PhotoOp with Sam, why not!?! =) We didn't catch the bouquet but we're still bringing home a souvenir shot for Dimples.

christmas in our hearts

Christmas is just a few winks away. As much as I love to do my Christmas shopping... I guess I will have to pass this year. I know it's sad news for the people close to my heart because I give a lot of gifts during our Christmas reunion. I was too busy running my DL *excuses*excuses*. But I will not be totally grumpy this season, I'm cooking up a promo for my DL. It's my way of saying thanks to my loyal customers. These kids (and the not so young ones) made my DECEMBER. It's a totally different world from where I used to be for the past six (6) years. I'm learning a lot of things. Of course there are some who can be a real PITA *Pain In The Ass* But I just smile at them and remind myself that the customers are always right. So with a big heart, it's time to return the favor. Here's my promo coupon. I'm thinking of buying chocolates too as my Christmas giveaway. So what do you think? I hope this brings smile on their faces. I'm so excited about it! =)

Grab one on the 25th. See you!

the trick is to keep breathing

Peyton once said, "At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just not facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes... all you need is ONE.

Once in a while you come to a point when you start questioning things. I am at that point again. And I dedicate this post to those 5 people who chose to listen to my thoughts. Thank you for the cafe latte that mended our bruised hearts. Thank you for the time you spent at my shop just so I have someone to talk to. Thank you for the phonecall you made just to check on how I was. Thank you for letting me cry on your shoulder. Thank you for depriving yourself sleep so that I can have mine. I feel better... I am better. And I will always try to remember... "the trick is to keep breathing".

friends with benefit

Have you ever had that feeling that someone is making you feel that you are not good enough?

Today I started my day pouring my heart out to Tita Carol. But I'm not telling why i shed those tears again. This is just one of those days when I miss Ate Aps... I hope she's here to hear me out.

While i try to sort things out... I'm sharing this song which I encountered in my One Tree Hill marathon. I love the chorus so hear me sing to the top of my lungs. This is from Gavin DeGraw.

I Don't Want To Be
I don't need to be anything other than a prison guard's son
I don't need to be anything other than a specialist's son
I don't have to be anyone other than a birth of two souls in one
Part of where I'm going is knowing where I'm coming from

I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately
All I have to do is think of me and have peace of mind
I'm tired of looking 'round rooms wondering what I gotta do
Or who I'm supposed to be
I don't want to be anything other than me

I'm surrounded by liars everywhere I turn
I'm surrounded by imposters everywhere I turn
I'm surrounded by a identity crisis everywhere I turn
Am I the only one to notice?
I can't be the only one who's learned

I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately
All I have to do is think of me and have peace of mind
I'm tired of looking 'round rooms wondering what I gotta do
Or who I'm supposed to be
I don't want to be anything other than me

Can I have everyone's attention please
if you're not like this and that
You're gonna have to leave
I came from the mountain, the crust of creation
My whole situation made from clay, dust, stone
And now I'm telling everybody

I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately
All I have to do is think of me and have peace of mind
I'm tired of looking 'round rooms wondering what I gotta to do
Or who I'm supposed to be
I don't want to be anything other than me

i still owe the Christmas party pics... be back soon.

i turn to YOU

If you're looking for something cheesy you might want to skip this post, haha! It was a special Mass in Immaculate Concepcion Parish Church last November 24. What made it so special? Uhmmn... I was asked to do the first reading. Yeah, you heard me right. I was requested to read the Gospel in front of everyone. I was hesitant at first, afraid to miss a line, but i accepted. After all, it was something new for me so why not give it a shot. I remember all those times I was asked to read in the Friday mass in GABC especially when it's near my Bday week. I always decline as i have stage fright, hahaha! Did I mention I was also asked to wear a skirt since I'll be up there in the altar? I thought there'll be no problem as i have lots of skirts as you all know. But they specified that the skirt should either be black or brown, and below the knee. Hahaha, all i have are MINIs!!! LOL. Well good thing I managed to find one. So take a closer look, I made a LO for you to see, and a bonus photo with Bishop Antonio Tobias. He was flashing a brilliant SMILE!!! Father Rino was there too but i have no Paparazzi shot with him.

I'm feeling a little better and the gray clouds are gone too. I was blog hopping very early and I saw this cute little Christmas Tree at Amy W. and decided to get my own tree after leaving her a gift. So why don't you guys leave me some gifts too coupled with love. This is fun!

Can't wait to see what I'm going to get, as you all know... I have low EQ =)

then and now

I was online at YM very early this morning when a message window popped, it was Randy, my cousin (3rd degree?) who's in the middle of nowhere (Location: TOP SECRET). We exchange hello's and life updates. He said he'll be visiting Manila again next year after his brother's wedding. I told him about his parents' (my Ninong and Ninang) visit last October. They we're supposed to drop by at the house by lunch time, and they arrived by 4:15PM due to... what else... Novaliches traffic. Since we have no merienda to offer, we just bought bread from the neighborhood bakery. But they were thrilled to get a bite again of Pande Coco and Spanish Bread. Balikbayan's are easy to please as they love simple things. Randy says he misses Pande Coco too... and eggpie... and ice tubig. He gave me copies of our photos taken during their Manila visit last March. And these pictures are worth scrapping so I'm sharing them with you. Plus a bonus picture from way back when we have nothing else to do but PLAY. Suddenly, I miss the childhood days we spent at RI.

i need a little sunshine

I'm still down with a flu and currently dealing with some issues. But this nice email from my INBOX lifted my spirit so I decided to share some good news with you. First, Download Link registered it's highest sales so far since it opened *yipee* and second, one of my layout is again featured in a Designer's Blog. Go and visit Scrappin' & Stuff with Sooze HERE and see my Mandai Orchid Garden layout. I used her "Come into my Garden" freebie from her Nov5 post. I scrapped pictures from my Singapore trip. Mandai Orchid Garden is considered as one of the tourist spots in Singapore. For only SGD3 as entrance fee, you can already enjoy a wide variety of orchids displayed in massed beds out in the open. Take a stroll and enjoy the stunning view of orchids in full bloom. You can also wine and dine at Vanilla Pod, a continental restaurant and bar (we didn't try it though 'coz we're busy taking pictures) or just enjoy the the famous Water Garden, organic herb and spice enclosure, the fruit orchard, and the hydroculture plant tour and propagation garden. It's scenic beauty is an inspiration to while your afternoon away. So don't forget to drop by "Taman Orkid Mandai" if you visit Singapore. Here are some layouts.

nothing much, just minding my OWN business

Guilty. I know. I know... I've been gone. I was blabbing about keeping this blog and next minute I was gone. I had a tremendously busy week. I want to tell you guys all about it, but i don't know where to start. Too much good news and let's start with the biggest one. It's official... now up and running!!! My very own, "Download Link". I kept my mouth shut for a month while I was setting it up. You bet, I went through hell dealing with contractors and suppliers. Grrrr.... so this better be worth it, haha! I opened my DL last Sun. My customers are really into computer games they don't want to stop so i usually stay open up to 12MN. They start knocking at the door by 9AM. I am adjusting to a lot of things, like dealing with these teens, learning their Lingo, learning the game, how not to panic in times of network and DSL trouble (the hardest part by the way), waking up early (again), and working out my schedule with DBF. Everything is going well so far, and i hope it stays that way. Help me pray. Here's another layout so you can take a peek at "Download Link". Wish me luck you guys!!!
