waiting for the GO signal

"Pay very close attention to your dreams right now - both the variety of images that your subconscious cooks up while you sleep, and the ones your conscious mind creates during the daytime. They may seem like fanciful ideas that don't relate much to your real life goals, but that is not necessarily the case. Look closer, and you will see that they are a sort of roadmap to get you from where you are now to where you want to be. The signs are there, you just need to slow down to see them."

Sometimes I check my horoscope to see what my stars are up to. And this one really struck me. Readings from my daily horoscope spoke to me. Recently, I've been cooking up something that most of you will surely think as "suntok sa buwan". I know it's another big step that you'd think is too early for me to take. But I know deep in my heart that it's what I wanted. All I'm waiting for now is a little PUSH... and I'd gladly make that leap. Please say that it will be okay before my twisted sunshine fades out... *smile*

Looking back, after some trails... I burned some bridges too. I am like that. I have a tendency to cross out people in my life. Some say it's good, while others say it's bad. I have my own reasons and you will just have to respect that :p

dreams do come true

We were watching ASAP and saw this star promote her latest movie. I suddenly remembered about the activity in SM Fairview and sent Karen an SMS to ask if she's gonna be there. "Punta kayo, nandun ako", she replied.

Since we've got nothing to do that day, Jackee excitedly tagged along with me. It was nice to see Pam and Karen (and her baby Gaboy) though they were busy with some stuffs. They were making sure that everything is okay before the star finally arrives, but we still managed to chat and pause for a picture moment =)

I saw some ex-colleagues too. Ms. Marge and Roxan were there, and we exchanged our hi's and hello's. They were teasing me if I already moved to Plains and Prints. BIG SMILE. It also feels good that the staffs from Penshoppe and ForMe were still able to recognize me and they still call me Ma'am Jay1. Ngek... nde na ako sanay =) But the sad thing is, everyone commented "pumapayat ka lalo". Am I really thinner??? =( I'm getting the same comment everytime I see old friends. Hay... kailangan ko na talaga lumamon. LAFANG to DEATH and timer starts now!

The poster says it will start by 5PM but my tired feet is telling me that it's already past 6PM and still no sign of a bright star. There's already a big crowd outside the store and a smaller group inside ForMe. Jackee is in front of the line, it pays to keep connections alive *wink*

People outside started screaming in delight and that's our cue that she has finally arrived. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... the Grand Entrance.

iced coffee and doughnuts... anyone?

"What time are you coming? The party starts at 4PM."
I searched my brain for answers but I gave up and just asked...
"What party???"

Jackee recently discovered a passion for hosting small get-together parties for friends. Apparently, she sent an invitation thru SMS which I did not receive. "Let's bring the ocean here, please come in your best summer dress."

Cris was already there when I arrived. He too is clueless on what's happening and even sent an SMS to Jette, "Ano nangyayari kay Jackee? Engagement party na ba ito?"

Hahaha! =)

Whatever the reason is... I went there to enjoy the yummy doughnuts in the table.

We asked the same question every 15 minutes. Call time is 4PM and it's almost dinner time. "San na ba si Jette!?!" To pass time, I tried to be busy with the cam. I made sure the camera is all set. Testing 1... 2... 3...

It's a little past six... finally, she arrived. Their own La Greta... and my favorite... Jette! And what better way to celebrate than to pig out on the food and drinks Jackee prepared. Let's get this party started!!!

We had doughnuts and coffee to our heart's delight. But we also had our *sharing time*. Having great conversations is one of the essentials I look for in any relationship I get into. And I always grab the opportunity to listen to Cris and Jette as they really have a funny way of telling stories. I am enjoying their company so much. I'm thankful my sister introduced me to them. Later that same night, the birthday girl, Ate Ping joined our *session* She serves as the nanay of the group. And like what a true MOM will do on her birthday, she bought us ice cream!!! Yehey! How much sweets can our sweet tooth take? Hmmmn... just keep it coming and we'll gladly take it. LIFE IS SWEET... at ang sarap ng libre! Hahaha =)

I had too much caffeine and it kept me awake until 4AM... rewinding the coffee party in my head or looking forward to Jette's promise, her "Bean Bags" Party? *wink*

shattered

What happened to me last night was the worst night of my life that I can remember. It's as if my nightmare was brought to life. Even if I have a long list of people whom I hate, I would never ever wish for them to go through what I went through. I can still hear myself shouting. It still echoes...

As I pick up the pieces of my shattered heart... I pray that this pain will direct me to where I should truly be. And I hope I will be a better person when I come out of it.

What you told me... I will always remember. It has always been about T-H-E-M... and never about M-E.

"All this time you were pretending...
so much for my happy ending."

chlorinated chick at 8 Waves Waterpark

Finally I was able to kick off my SUMMER 2K8 =)

My sister Jackee and her BFF Deah invited me to join them as their highschool friend, Lizle is treating them for a relaxing day at 8 WAVES. Actually, I was there to fill Joemy's slot. Still, I packed my bag and joined the group, I needed a break after all.

A classic Highschool reunion... we even saw Mr. Rex San Diego, our Journalism Teacher, hahaha! Small world.

8 Waves Waterpark is located at San Rafael, Bulacan. It offers different amenities and features for guests satisfaction. We made our rounds of course and explored the area. Photo Op na 'to!!! =)

Inside the waterpark, you have a choice between Bamboo Hut cottages or Long Span Steel cottages. We stayed at Bamboo Hut cottage W41. Sizes of their Bamboo Huts vary from 12, 19, 22 and 45 seater capacity. Or you can also stay at 8 Waves Hotel if you have extra cash to splurge. *wink*

8 Waves Waterpark is the the biggest wave pool attraction in the country today. This reminds me of an episode in Laguna Beach where you can actually surf in the fake waves. Cool. I'm not sure though if you can also do that in this 2, 788.52 Sq. m. Wave pool. Ping and Ruth enjoyed the waves a lot. I was too scared too even try it, hehehe =) Swimming lang sa gilid-gilid.

Jackee, Chris, Ping and I tried the slides at the Safari Pool and Slides. Everyone had a grand time in the slide except me. I stopped sliding when I reached the edge. Boo... hahaha! =) Embarrassing moment indeed, people in the pool are waiting for me to drop and I suddenly stopped sliding. I'm not sure if it's the shorts that I'm wearing, or if the water in the slide is not enough, or is it because I'm underweight. Take your pick, is it A, B, or C!?! =)

I think the Safari concept is contrary to their Under the Sea (Water World) theme. I find it really weird. But that thought won't stop these two from posing at every possible photo op spot.

There are two other pools in this waterpark but we didn't find anything fancy in them, these are the Lap Pool and the Bubble Pool. Therefore... no pics.

What's next after a tiring swim and photo op? PG moment. Since Jackee and I are facing scarcity of rice (LOL) right now, we have to grab this chance and eat as much as we can. Right Deah!?! *big grin*

We were blessed with a fine weather that day so it is equally relaxing to just stay at the cottage and catch up on each other's stories. I can still remember how we all laughed at Lizle while she was sharing her Sagada experience. She was so fascinated with the Inn where they stayed, the same place used for the Judy Ann and Piolo starrer. "Sa sobrang ganda... sa sobrang layo... parang pwede kang pumunta dun tapos magpalit ka na lang ng pangalan and start a new life." Hmmmnn... I'd like to try that one of these days *wink* Good bye Jenelyn! Hello... ano nga ba ang magandang pangalan para sa'kin???

And as our non-stop chismakaru goes on, Yza took this opportunity to show another baby milestone =) We witnessed her first time na dumapa. Yey!!! Everyone happily cheered! =)

catching up with the FOUR ACES

After posting the hotdogs and beer pics (night out with Ex-GABC IPA friends) in Friendster, I received a lot of comments from my other GABC friends why I did not invite them. Guilty as charged! *wink* To make up, I arranged another get together, this time for a different set of friends. It's time for a reunion of some sort and a coming out dinner. Read on and you'll know why.

We met up in Blueginger (did I hear you say again!?!). Not that I am part of the Marketing Team of this bar and that I have a cut for every invited guests *heehee* I chose the place because I wanted them to hear the band that Rellie and I were able to catch playing last March. Only to find out that their schedule for the month of April is every Saturdays... boo. Anyway, everyone is present. Rellie, Ujin, Joy and me met at Robinson's Pioneer and we went to Blueginger together. Ron, Gerald, Erwin and Jamie were already there when we got in. Last but not the least, Alvin who is soooooooo oh soooooooo fashionably late also came with his new hot wheels. Drool everyone =) It's a night of overflowing BEER and HIRITs =) Too bad Joy had to go home early. She was not able to witness the "grilling mode" set up for Erwin and Jamie.

The couple blushed as they answer our curious questions on how and when the "friendship" turned into something more *yikee* I am a witness to the SMS and the YM messages that circulated when the news about "them" started. It pays to be online... all the time. I get updated with all the chismaks the world has to offer. SMILE. And who can forget about the YM status message that rocked the house down? The now famous, "Alam mo na kung 'Z'ino ka" *wink* In fairness, Erwin trusted me with their little secret the last time I asked him about it. After all, they have ME to thank as everything started pala in my Despedida Party last September. Personally, I think they look good together and I am happy that they found each other. Yikee!!! So Erwin, you will now live by the name... paloZ, and we need not explain why.

It was also a night of reminiscing about the pick up lines and escapades of my chickboy friends. ANG APAT NA ALAS. It feels great that I was able to arrange this dinner so they can join their chick magnet forces again.

Laughter filled the rooftop as the guys make hirit one after the other. Laglagan Mode. Nobody wants to own the "Ace of Diamond" title. I was able to exercise my sense of humor with every nutty comment they say as they try to prove who's the most chickboy among them. It was a silly, insane, and downright goofy night. But who's keeping the "LOGBOOK" is still a mystery =) Hmmn...

hotdogs and beer

It all started with an email thread.

J1: Hotdog and beer ulet sa Cubao, kelan daw kayo pwede this week?
RELLIE: Cge, bukas!
BOSSING: Ano meron bukas?
UNGAS: Email email lang sir jun... parang ganito lng...

These guys are really CRAZY.

I met up with my Ex-GABC friends for some catching up.

ON BEING PANCHU. On our way to Shopwise Cubao, Joy, Rellie and I are discussing about Ted. "Nagtxt si Ted, punta daw sya", I excitedly told them. "Ano ka ba J1, April Fool's Day ngayon, wag ka nga magpaloko kay Ted." "Sabi nya kasi Libis area na sya, kitakits daw, miss nya na tayo." Come to think of it, Ted was really like that, he'd always say he'd be joining but he won't show up. Ooppss... maybe not this time =) True to his words and to everyone's surprise, Ted was already sitting beside Ethan (and with Bossing and Ms. Lynette) when we reached Smokey's. Yey!!! The boy who cried wolf is here, hahaha! =)

MEET ETHAN. This CUTE 4 year old little boy is Bossing's son. A bit tired from his swimming lesson, he just played with his PSP after eating dinner. The Ninong's can't help but drool, as they joke around that they can't even afford to buy one, and yet, the little boy own's one. And yes, they are also in debt with this kid, 4 Birthday gifts and 4 Christmas gifts... and still counting!

CHOOSE YOUR SMOKEY'S. It's our second time to visit at Bossing's franchise store. Now you have a choice between hotdog sandwiches or rice meals. I chose Kaldereta with rice and I also ordered their newest offering on drinks, Chocolate Java Chips Chill. Ujin ordered Korean Beef Stew with rice and a hotdog sandwich. WOW gutom! =)

A BOTTLE OR TWO. It's time to say goodbye to Ms. Lynette and Ethan so we can proceed to our next stop. Lotsa ice cold beer waiting for us. The little boy doesn't want to go home yet...

TRUE LOVE. Jaz, Ted's Girlfriend joined our session at Padi's. As she was having her dinner, the boy's try to bring out every detail that could grill our Teddyboy. HOTSEAT. From their first beerhouse escapade, girls from the past and wrong send text messages... Jaz just gamely smile at all the jokes (uh, I mean truth).

GOING ABROAD. One major topic that night is whether to go abroad or not. This month, Bossing is just waiting for his interview at the US Embassy for a tourist Visa. If given the opportunity, he wanted to try his luck there. So we're all praying that he get's one. Ujin also expressed his interest in working abroad, and so did Pol. They discussed about NZ, Australia, Singapore and US. How I wish I have the same guts *wink* I love my Philippines and it scares the hell out of me whenever I think of considering working abroad. Oh hell, yeah... I'M A SCARED CAT! But there's one brave girl we're all going to miss hanging out with. It's her flight that very same night. Lots of luck RHEA-chingching!!! Do good and make us proud. And remember to get in touch if there's an opening in SG *wink*

GETTING MARRIED. No, not me! =) Ujin and Lady plan to tie the knots sometime early 2009. Wohoo!!! =) So Bossing gave him pieces of advice. 1) Kalokohan ang mag-ipon bago magpakasal. 2) Ayos lang yan... arya lang ng arya. 3) Pumunta sa simbahan, maghanap ng Pari tsaka magpakasal. Some thoughts to ponder, ain't it!?! Hahaha!!! =)

PARTING WORDS. Kaya kayong dalawa... kahit ngayong taon, kaya na ninyong magpakasal. To which we both replied, "Nuninuninuninu...", sabay TSL (Tingin Sa Langit). LOL.

"I don't know who I'm gonna be 10 years from now, where I'll be in my life, what I'll have by then... but I hope one thing would be certain, that my friends now, will still be my friends by then."
