leaving on a jet plane

It's raining very hard outside due to typhoon Frank. What's worse is that there's no electricity almost all afternoon so my DL is closed the whole morning ='( The typhoon directly hit Metro Manila, as in Signal#3.

I'll fill you up with some kwento na lang to brighten up the mood. I had lunch yesterday with some GABC friends. We met up in Cabalen, West Ave. despite the rain for Lala's sending off party. It was her last day in GABC last Friday. She's leaving for Dubai on July 6. Awwwwww.... =( I'll surely miss her but I'm happy for her too and I know that she made the right decision.

Mels and Lala were already there when I arrived and Rellie came in after a few seconds. Hehe... promise, we went there separately *wink* After a short update of kwentos, we raided the buffet table =) EAT ALL YOU CAN, BABY!!!

Lala shared that she cried a lot while the AVP that was prepared for her by IPAD was being played. Too bad I was not able to send a video message. Hmmn... eekesena pa naman sana ako, hahaha! =) I already have a concept in mind but some things kept me busy.... REALLY BUSY. I ended up sending old photos na lang. Super old stuffs and GFriends moments. I'm sure those photos made her cry. Mels included din pala our Cebu-Bohol trip photos in the AVP, so may mga pahiga-higa pa sa sand photos, hahaha! In the middle of our lunch and kwento, Joy arrived too and joined us for lunch. So there's more kwento and were off to our second plate...

I know it's "Lala's moment", but we can't help but put Mels on the spotlight too. Of course the topic is her lovelife. Interrogating questions were thrown to her one afer the other. Daig pa ang The Buzz at kulang na lang eh may lie detector test din just like in Showbiz Central. Hahaha! =)

What's the real score between you and "Mr. M"?
Nag-date na kayo as in kayo lang?
Kelan nag-start? Pano nag-start?
Di ba may girlfriend sya?
Ayaw mo ba si "Mr. P"?
Eh yung pinapa-date ni Joy sa'yo?
blah... blah... blah...
blah... blah...
blah...

As usual, as soon as she joined the group lunch... she became the life of the party. Walang kupas ang pag-CHONA! =)

We are very fortunate to have Rellie there with us. He's our official photographer for the day. And not only that... he also filled us in with some juicy details of Gerald's Stag Party which happened last night. He also allowed us to take a quick peek at a video which increased our curiosity more. We were giggling us we try to decipher the voices in the background while the video plays. Mga boys talaga... and yung mga girls din... grabe!!! Hahaha!!! =) Buti na lang my ChinoKuks is "mabait" daw last night. Yun ang sabi nya... *wink*

Food and kwento filled our afternoon. Everyone had a great time. Hopefully we can see Lala again before she leaves the Philippines. Maybe a quick dinner will do or we'll just join her trip to the airport like what we did with Ms. My.

Here's our parting shots, again courtesy of Kuks =) No qualms about taking our photos yesterday ah, bait noh?!

After the Cabalen Treat, Rellie and I went to Trinoma to buy a gift for Ver and Imee's baby girl. Both tired and sleepy, we went around Landmark to find the perfect gift. High standards kasi si Ninong eh! =) But I must admit that we had a great time checking out baby stuffs. At the same time, we were discussing about his "new discovery" about me. Si Chenelyn ay... hehehe. It made me smile but sorry... the comment is not bloggable *wink* Anyway, we bought this cute 2 in 1 removable carry cot chair and rocker. Promise, ang cute!!! =)

The gift is quite big so when we had it giftwrapped, we decided to drop the gift at their house before we headed off to Novaliches. We had dinner na rin at their house and watched a little TV because it was still raining. Before touring A. Bonifacio, we had to take one last pic for the day =)

stardust

I just received an SMS from Kuks on his whereabout. I'm trying to be cool about all of this. I don't like the idea that they'll be spending the night with some "girls" but I think I'm also a little excited to know what's gonna happen. Last week, he told me that they are cooking up a small surprise party for Ge. And last night, while we were on the phone, he confirmed that they'll be pushing through with the plan. He made me kwento na kasi about their plans, so my curiosity level went a notch higher. Cge na nga, boys night out for Ge... so be it! =) Hmmn... bakit ba kc nauso pa ang STAG PARTY!?! Hehehe... killjoy ba ako??? *wink* Okay fine, I'll try to catch some sleep and not think about it na lang ;P

just give me a big closet

Kuks travelled all the way to Novaliches today so he can join my meeting with Mr. Cruz. We had our final negotiations and contract signing this morning. Rellie stood as my witness. He was quite happy on how our conversation with Mr. Cruz went. Actually he talked more and asked me to slow down =) So I had to make pigil my "ratatatatat mouth". Since the deal is officially closed... the KEYS were already handed down to us. You have no idea how happy I was in that very moment. We went to see the actual space as well, and I had flashbacks of scenes from "Sex and the City".
I was really overwhelmed by the feeling that I wanted to mimic Carrie's line, "Hello... I live here." Hahaha, kaya lang baka batukan ako ni Rellie sa sobrang arte ko! =) We had lunch at Janet's (sosyal na sosyal, harhar) while discussing our plans. I'm getting a little giddy na talaga. Though we still have a lot of things to take care of, I'm still positive that this will be a life changing decision. He left na right after lunch because he'll go home to Cabiao pa. But guess what!?! After we parted, I was able to score 2 pairs of cutie shorts on my way to Novamall. Oh I'm so lucky today! Parang 200% na ang excitement level ko, hahaha! =) Can't wait to wear it.

I'm here at my DL na pala, kc Earl is here. He's helping me reformat all the PC's. Yeah gastos na naman. But I'm sure I can breathe easier after all these so cge na lang. And I'm really thanful that he is helping me out. Imagine yung travel time nya from Paco, Manila to Nova is 48 years. Buti na lang may passport sya, haha! =) Thanks Papa Earl!!! =)

another day in paradise

I was having a so... so... day when I received this SMS from Kuks, "May email ako sa'yo. Matutuwa ka, hehe". So I logged in to check what it was. I nearly did a cartwheel when I opened my mail, hahaha! =) You guys wouldn't believe this, because I can hardly believe it myself *wink* My ChinoKuks surprised me with tickets for our vacation trip. Actually, it's a trip together with his officemates and friends from ACN . Ibang level di'ba!?! Marunong na sya mag-surprise. Oh, I love you Kuks so... so... much!!! I immediately called up his mobile to say thank you and told him how he made me happy. He was just laughing at the end of the line because he knows I cannot contain my happiness. You see, every now and then, I'd bug him that I wanted to book a trip and if he'd wanted to join. And he'd start lecturing me again on how to save up money and I'd answer back on how money should be enjoyed. We always have that kind of discussion and he'd just end it with, "The right time will come". And I'm all hands off about the issue but I'll be wearing a simangot face, God knows how long, hehe. I remember I mentioned in one of my posts that he promised we'll take a summer trip. Well, summer is over but we didn't leave Manila. But that I understand... actually I backed off too because I have major things to deal with and I can't squeeze that in my schedule. Naks busy! =) But now, I am really looking forward to boarding a plane and leaving Manila for a while *wink*

The search for the perfect swimwear is on... but I still have around ten pairs that I haven't used yet so we'll just see =)

the MIS-happening

Since yesterday was a holiday, I wasn't able to do a lot of my Monday errands. So naturally, I did it all today and I can't believe it ate up my day =( Actually... I had a series of misfortunate events, thus, the title of this entry. I left the house at 9:30 AM to go to my first stop. So I rode a public transpo and missed my stop... because the driver failed to drop me off. I got really pissed because that means I have to travel back. I know I'm slightly at fault too because I've been to that governtment office before and yet I still don't know how to go there commuting. Knowing me... I get lost most of the time. I really have NO SENSE OF DIRECTION. Yes... that's me. I love to travel but getting lost is a major part of it *wink* Anyway, the Brat in me still insist that majority is the driver's fault. I asked him to drop me off and he totally forgot that I'm there. Which led me to be oh so totally late for my first errand... so I got stuck during the office lunch break. Dumbidum. As for my next errand, I had another bloopers as I went to the wrong business office =( The Maynilad office in Zabarte, which I thought is a lot nearer so I went straight there is for customers of North Caloocan only. Meaning I have to go all the way back to Regalado because that's where the Maynilad office for Novaliches customers is. I talked to a lot of Maynilad officers to raise the issue of my overcharged waterbill of P2,679. I didn't know I had a pool party! =) They promised to work on it (they SHOULD) and asked me to go back after 1 week. For my third errand, I went to Novamall to have my printer ink refilled and waited for about 30 minutes. After that I went to the parlor for a pedicure I trully deserve =) I was relaxed for a while but I have to run again to BDO for my bank chuvaness. It's about to close when I got in. I'm so lucky I didn't miss it. I finished all my errands at 5:30PM. I left the house around 9:30AM. Which means I've been in the streets for 8 long hours. Commuting took it's toll on me. My leg already hurts and I still need to rush one more time. I'm meeting Kuks for a movienight at Greenbelt, malapit lang di'ba!?! So I went home and took a quick shower and I'm on the road again...

You guessed it right. I am very very late as I reached Greenbelt at 8PM and the movie started at 7:30PM. We watched the advance screening of "The Happening". It's a paranoid thriller directed by M. Night Shyamalan starring Mark Wahlberg. Since the movie already started when we got in, we got a little confused while watching it. We were able to catch up on the plot after a while but got lost again in the middle of the film. The introduction of the main conflict is visually well done. The characters were running away from a "strange and horrible phenomena". Yes, there were moments that it had me on the edge of my seat, with my fingers covering my eyes (yet I'm also peeking, hihihi), especially on scenes where people in the streets were mindlessly committing suicide. But at the last 40 minutes until the end of the film, I felt hanging. And so is Rellie. We even heard a comment from the person seating behind us, "stupid film!". Hahaha! =) Kuks keep on asking, "Chenelyn, anong nangyari!?!" in his most pang-asar tone. The movie never bothered to move the story past its main conflict. I love Shyamalan's "The Sixth Sense" but this movie... uhmmmn... I think it's not worth watching :P

* You see... today, everything that happened to me is a MIS-happening, hehe *wink*

drenz turns one

One of my inaanak, Marcus Drenz, celebrated his first birthday party at Jollibee Don Antonio. I went there alone and I really had a hard time looking for that particular Jollibee. Manong Driver directed me to Ever Commonwealth so I went there and surprise... it's a different party! =( Hahaha! Finally, one of the crews gave me a sketch on how to go to Jollibee Don Antonio. After crossing a long scarrrrry overpass and a tricycle ride, I found it =) Jollibee Don Antonio pala is inside a subdivision. Whew! Si Manong talaga...niligaw ako.
