are you kidding me!?!

Is the world going nuts or is it me!?! Yesterday it was DBF hoping I'll cancel to give way for someone I truly hate. Duh!?! He didn't really asked, but reading between the lines I know it's what he wants. Why in the world would I do that??? And this morning, I received a weird phone call asking me to send pictures for her slideshow. What the F*ck!?! Are you guys kidding me???

It ruined my day.

9...10...11...12

Whew! Yesterday I woke up very early as I'm still thinking of my newly delivered computer units. Imagine waiting for almost a month... and when it's finally here, I can't still use them. Boooo. So to get my mind off my problem, I decided to shop around. I've been wanting to buy some stuff for my CR like shower caddy, soap dish, disinfectants and other cleaning supplies. Shopping has always been my stress therapy, but I must say that I have already mellowed down on that aspect (clap... clap). I felt good when I started picking up the items I needed. Everything was color coordinated... BLUE. Hahaha! =) I get this weird feeling when I'm inside a grocery. I fancy small things. There a lot of things I see and I wanted to buy them though I know I don't need them or I don't intend to use them. Bad... I know... and I'm trying very hard to resist it. *wink* As my POK friend Ali puts it, "There are things that you want to buy because it makes you happy... though you won't use it." Anyway, I bought this small blue hook (with adhesive) supposedly for my headset, but it's only good for 10 minutes, the adhesive won't work :( It won't stick! Cute but of no use... boooo! P14 wasted. On a happier note, because I have no EQ, technician or no technician, these new computer units shouldn't stay in the boxes any longer. God sent me an angel *wink* and he heard my prayers.

At least now I know what RJ45's and TUP cables are for =)

we're setting up

I was so excited to hear that my new computer units for DL will be delivered. They finally arrived around 2PM. We waited for the technician to arrive. We waited (dumdidum) ... but he didn't show up. It was a bit frustrating and my excitement level is really going down. But all I can do is shrug it off and just pray that God will send me another angel... someone who can fix this all up.

We're setting up... or so i thought.

isn't she the sweetest!?!

After almost 1 month of not freebie hunting since my personal computer is facing "near death" experience I decided last tuesday to blog hop and found this challenge in one of my favorite blogs. The challenge is to make a layout using any kit or size layout but it must include the following : A circle , a rectangle and a square shape. These can be in any form, element, brush stroke or paper shape, as long as all three are there. I quickly thought of my Tarsier Layout and emailed it to Ms. June. Here's her reply:

Hi Jen
It does qualify - it has all the things needed!! Great layout and I love the pictures!! The layout is gorgeous and I love how you matted the photos!! Great job!!
If you manage to get the credits let me know. I will post the layout tomorrow Wednesday, if no credits then I will just apologise to the designers and explain the situation.
Here is the link for the thank you gift and thank you so much for playing along and for sharing your fantastic layout!!

Hugs
June

Now isn't she sweet!?! And for joining, I get these equally sweet colored papers as a prize. It's my first time to join a challenge like this so I'm happy about it.

You can find my layout here in her Jan16 entry together with the other challenge layouts. In the pics are three of my friends from GABC, Charlotte, Mels and Lala (and the Tarsiers, of course!) Photos are from our trip to Bohol last January 2006. I'll Digiscrap our other photos as soon as my PC is "revived". For now, I'm off to blog hop and check out the other challenges.

download link blessing

It has been a long day for me as I celebrated the official blessing of my Shop, Download Link, with my friends and family. It was raining when I woke up and it rained all day. We offered eggs to Sta. Clara but it didn't work this time :'( I felt a little down because I know it will be even harder for my friends to share this day with me because of the weather. Nova traffic + Rain = BOO... But the show must go on as they say. Mamu helped me with everything needed. DBF arrived around 1PM and helped me do the last minute cleaning. Karen came in next and she took care of the balloons, ribbons and table set-up. Oh I don't know what I'd do without you guys! =) Joy and Pol arrived at 4PM. Yey, I have visitors =) The ceremony was scheduled at 2PM but Father Rino arrived around 5PM. We waited that long... shhhh... we already grabbed a bite because we couldn't wait any longer =) Tempting Crispy Pata, YUM!!! Here are some snapshots of the Blessing.

As the rain pours, I know blessings and graces will be poured on my DL.

Lala, Chie and Mels were there too (ehem... LATE). We all enjoyed the food, beer and unlimited surf time... FRIENDSTER time!!! =)

The kids enjoyed the FREE food and FREE game/surf time as well. Is that you Karen!?! Hmmn... www. Jobstreet.com =)

I am happy to have my shop officially blessed. And I am more than happy to have my closest friends and family witnessing it with me.

Thank you guys for braving the rain!!! I hope you enjoyed your Vietnam (via Nova-Bayan) Trip *wink*

one fine day

We both lack sleep so the original plan to meet up at 9AM yesterday was moved to 10AM. We had lunch and the funny thing about it is that we ordered Kare-Kare again, this time from the neighborhood karinderya =) Must be our favorite dish, haha. It was good, I must add. Then we set off to begin the day's journey. We went to Hidalgo (Moy's Repair shop, it's the first repair shop that we saw) to have my Digicam checked and we were asked to wait for 3 hours so we decided to watch a movie while waiting. We passed by Quiapo Church first and we were very lucky that the Priest was blessing the crowd with Holy Water when we got in. It was the Feast of the Black Nazarene last Jan9 so they are still celebrating. We went malling after saying our prayers and finally got a taste of Tokiyaki balls again, yum... yum. We watched "National Treasure" afterwards. I love Nicolas Cage that much so I let go of watching BEE Movie. And now, it's time for the good news. We went back to Hidalgo for my cam, waited for 1 more hour while eating snacks and voila... it was fixed. My heart skipped a beat as Kuya Joe was doing the test shot.I can't tell you how happy I was to have my Cam back for the cheap price of PX200 only!!! (come on, take a wild guess!) I was able to save a whole lot compared to the P9k repair price quoted in the Canon Service Center. This one is really worth celebrating!!! KUKS TREATS. Thank God I resisted in buying the P15k Canon Digicam on sale that I saw last December at Abenson's. Woohoo!!! We passed by Ace Hardware to buy some stuff before we headed to our last stop... MY SHOP. The General will do some inspection. Thank God I kinda passed... I was not able to clean 1 keyboard drawer out of 12. *grin*

This is us testing my "revived" Digicam. SMILE.
Tired but happy.

Hmmn... I'm thrilled and kinda tensed!!! *dork dance* I'm spending the whole day tom relaxing and enjoying. We'll go to Hidalgo first thing in the morning to have my Digicam checked and hopefully fixed *keeping my fingers crossed* Which reminds me that i still have to print the map. Then we'll definitely pass by Quiapo Church. Then the rest will be history in the making, hahaha! Last stop will be here in my Shop because DBF wanted to meet RAP (and hear him laugh as he play GT San Andres). For sure we'll have lots of fun tom... I can't wait!!!

$$ bling bling $$

It's a good thing I checked my Spam Mails the other day as one very important email was redirected to my Spam Folder. It's the good news that I've been waiting for 3 1/2 months. I felt relieved and was very happy about it. So yesterday, I went back to GABC and finally got my last pay. $$$. I saw some old faces, new ones and of course my friends. I saw a biAtch too... and her big fat face!!! *witch laugh* With all the updates and chika minute, I forgot to double check the Certificate of Employment that was handed over to me. It was a little past 6PM when I noticed that I was addressed in my COE as MR in bold letters. WTF!?! I tried to call the HR staff but she's already out of the office... unlucky me. So that means, I will have to go back to get the corrected document. Not to mention that I left my ID too at the Guard because I forgot to surrender the Visitor's ID pass =) All because I was busy with the chika updates, hehehe. From GABC I went straight to SMNE to meet DBF. We had dinner at Max's because I was craving for Bulalo, but we ordered Kare-Kare instead. It's our Xmas, New Year and $$$ celebration, hahaha! We started the year right... hope it will also be a good year for you all.
